DNS setup: CNAME, A record, and verification
Learn which DNS records Circe Links needs for apex domains, subdomains, and ownership verification.
Circe walks you through the exact records to create. In most setups you will use a CNAME for subdomains and A/ALIAS-style records for apex domains, plus a verification record when prompted.
- Subdomain (links.yourbrand.com) — usually a CNAME to the target Circe provides
- Apex (yourbrand.com) — follow the A / ALIAS / ANAME instructions shown in the dashboard
- Verification — TXT or similar record proving you control the domain
